As a newborn Violet suffered with colic. I tried everything, wonky winding, bicycle legs, cooled boiled water, winding in between feeds, nothing seemed to help her. My health visitor suggested trying some colic drops.
I tried infacol, this didn’t work for us, then we gave gripe water a go, I would NOT recommend gripe water, Violet ended up choking on this. The one that really helped violet was the dentinox colic drops, they are great value at just £2.30 for 100ml in Asda it was worth a try.
Dentinox colic drops comes with a 2.5ml syringe. There are 2 methods in which you can administer the drops, you can give 2.5ml after the feed or you can put 2.5ml in the bottle. I put it in the bottle as that was the easiest way for me. Please note you should not give more then 6 doses per day.
Dentinox colic drops really helped Violet bring up her wind. I saw a massive difference in her within just a few days, she was much more comfortable and the endless crying stopped. I was so relieved, it was honestly so hard seeing Violet in all that pain before.
Symptoms of colic: crying for more then 3 hours a day, 3 days a week for at least 1 week, it is hard to soothe your baby, clenched fists, they go red in the face, they bring their knees up to their tummy or arch their back. Contact your GP if your baby still seems to have symptoms of colic by 4 months old. (Taken from NHS website)
10/10 I would highly recommend this product.
